Temporary Crowns and BridgesYou have just received a plastic restoration that will serve you for a short period of time until the laboratory makes the final restoration. The following guidelines about this temporary restoration will be helpful to you. Chewing
Brushing and FlossingBrush the area thoroughly but gently. Always remove the floss from between the teeth by pulling it out sideways and not lifting it up, as this could pull the temporary crown off the tooth. ColorThe color of the plastic temporary does not resemble the color of the final restoration. Shape & SizeThe shape and size of the plastic temporary does not resemble the final restoration. Tooth SensitivityTemporary restorations may allow saliva or food to leak onto the tooth underneath. Sensitivity to cold, hot or sweets is not uncommon. This sensitivity will not be present with your final restoration. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call us. |
